It's 8:10pm on Friday evening and Kiran's keen to get his homework out of the way so that he can really enjoy his weekend. But he's experiencing a bit of writer's block.
Kiran opts for a break from staring at his worksheet and decides to take a few minutes to choose a new pair of trainers for the avatar on his personalised online learning space. He got a couple of extra credits for a top grade last week, so he is able to use these to choose from a premium range of options. He picks a really cool pair, saves the changes and admires the new look footwear.
While he is logged on to the school's RM Kaleidos Learning Platform, he spots that his mentor, Stefan, is also online. So he instant messages him to request some help with the assignment.
Kiran's interested in becoming an engineer and Stefan, a teaching assistant at the Technical College, has been assigned to help him achieve his goal. They discuss the assignment and Stefan points Kiran to some really useful curriculum content titles within the virtual learning environment, which he found earlier.
Kiran thanks Stefan and cracks on with the assignment. It takes a bit longer than he had hoped, but it's a challenging subject and he wants to get it right. (He's got his eye on a funky new haircut for his avatar, but that requires another three credits!). Finally, he submits his homework and starts thinking about the rest of his weekend.
